Aisling Bea

Aisling was born March 16 1984, on the island of Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and well-known comedians. She appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea is an Irish actor, writer and comedian. Bea started appearing as part of the cast on Irish or British TV programs in the year 2009, started her career as an stand-up comic in the year 2011. She began appearing regularly on sketch comedy and sitcoms from 2012. After she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear frequently in panel shows. In 2016 and 2017, she was part of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team in addition to being a performer of the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister who is named Sinead. She was only the second ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. Her surname honors the memory of her father who passed away. Aisling Cliodhnadh, born the 16th of March, 1984, in Kildare Town, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian died at age three. He was a horse veterinarian. Bea wasn't told the details of how he passed away until she turned 13. In 2017, Bea published an article in The Guardian about the suicide of her father's relatives and took on the stage name Bea in tribute. Bea's mom Helen, who is also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey was responsible for taking care of her and Sinead. The family was obsessed with racing and horses. Bea was a guide for The Irish National Stud in her young teens. But she was aware, that racing wasn't what she wanted to pursue as a profession and preferred to perform.
